When I first met Jody and Shane I could tell right away that these two were a lot of fun. We chatted about their wedding and a million other things for much longer than we had planned. They were so excited about planning their wedding and all the fun details that go along with it. Their enthusiasm was infectious! Such a warm and loving couple, I could tell instantly that they enjoy each other and know each other so well.

They complemented each other so well and I was so honored to capture what was to be an amazing culmination of 14 years together for their wedding! The wedding itself was beautiful, well planned, and had so much character and whimsy that I am beyond excited to share images from their special day! The location was perfect for these two whose love for the arts exuded in every conversation I had with them. The history and character of the venue lent itself as the perfect backdrop to an amazing event.

A lot of the decor was handled by the couple themselves with the help of their amazing circle of friends. The uniqueness of the studio was woven into the entire wedding from start to finish. Guests arrived and walked a red carpet as they entered and had the opportunity to stop at the various photo ops.

Highlights of which included Kermit the Frog, and the footprints of Charlie Chaplin respectively. Shakespearean sonnets were read and the couple exchanged handwritten vows underneath a beautifully dressed huppah, not for religious reasons but … just because! As the sun finally set it was time for the big reveal. Large black curtains were drawn open to reveal the reception space. Masterfully staged and decorated with gorgeous flowers, a checkerboard dance floor, and beautifully dressed tables complete with movie clapboards identifying table numbers with the names of famous Hollywood directors.

Jody and Shane enjoyed their first dance as a married couple before guests cheered and wept to heartfelt toasts given by the their nearest and dearest. Not long after that it was time for guests to enjoy the amazing cuisine that was expertly prepared by Boyz In The Kitchen.

Soon after dinner the dance floor was hopping as the happy couple danced tirelessly with family and friends to an expertly crafted mix of old and new music at the hand of DJ DoughBoy. Perhaps one of the only times the dance floor was empty was while guests gathered around the grooms as they cut their cake.

This was no ordinary wedding cake, this was a work of art created by the well known and incomparable Cake and Art in West Hollywood. The four level cake was adorned with photos of the couple in film strips that were being tugged on by replicas of their own two dogs! And to top it all off, directors chairs with each of the grooms names. Truly unique to these two Hollywood buffs!

After that it was right back to dancing the night away. This was truly an amazing wedding that neither Jody, Shane, nor any of their guests will soon forget. The opportunity to share such an amazing moment in their lives, at such an amazing and historic location, surrounded by their loved ones is priceless.
