Guts is definetly not gay. Human relations thanks to Gambino and Donovan scarred him. Traumatized him, made him shut out any feelings for anyone at all. Berserk one of the most highly acclaimed manga and anime of all time, today I discuss its core characters Guts and Griffith and their relationship.

Are they gay? or are Guts and Griffith. Guts challenged Griffin to a duel, and Guts agreed to join the band as his subordinate if he lost. Before this Griffin even told Guts: "I want you", which Guts misinterprets as a gay thing, and Griffin explains how he views him as a military asset with an interesting willingness to risk his life. Guts' feelings toward Griffith are clearly conveyed throughout the Golden Age as someone he greatly respects and even idealizes a bit, and with whom he develops a close friendship.

In parallel, he progressively gets closer to Casca and eventually a true romance blooms between them. There are actually quite a few gay characters in Berserk. Here, I'll name some: Donovan, Gennon the Tudor Noble, and of course, the fan favorite: Griffith! Berserk is actually quite a diverse series when it comes to queer sexuality.

But when Griffith rejected her or refused to accept her as a girlfriend , then she picked Guts as a second choice. Because Guts is was the second strongest man in the group. If Caska was accepted by Griffith, she would be the girlfriend of Griffith and would not even look at Guts.

I know Caska and Guts has some similarities in their nature, but it means nothing when it comes to love. Feelings of love comes from a different place, sometime people fall in love with totally different type of persons and hate who are similar. Caska chose Guts because she was rejected by Griffith.
